About the CAC

​

The CUSD Special Education Community Advisory Committee (CAC) brings together families, educators, community members, and district staff to support students with disabilities.

The CAC advises the Board of Trustees and Special Education administrators, provides parent education, connects families with resources, and supports activities benefiting students with exceptional needs.

The Role of a PTA Special Education Representative

Each school may have a Special Education Representative who:

• Attends CAC meetings and reports updates to their PTA

• Connects families with information and resources

• Builds understanding between general and special education communities

• Promotes inclusion and disability awareness

CAC meetings are open to everyone.
