CUCPTSA believes that the voice of the parent advocate on behalf of children is essential, especially in these times of the unknown and the potential for devastating budget cuts. Our district is already extremely under-funded due to how the Local Control Funding Formula works and our low "unduplicated" population. The potential cuts to education will be even more painful because we do not have the supplemental funds under LCFF to cushion the blow to our budget.  At this time, it is more important than ever to reach out to our elected officials at the federal level to let them know we need them to prioritize funding for education by providing an additional $175 billion in funds and to minimize any cuts to education dollars. Please share this form letter and information with your units via constant contact and on your PTA unit Facebook page, Twitter account, Instagram - we need our families to ask our elected officials at the federal level to support our children and students.
